Thrill the World Los Angeles is taking part in the 26th Annual AIDS Walk this Sunday, October 17th. Our dancers and staff will make the 10K trek (that’s 6.2 miles) through Los Angeles starting from and ending at the West Hollywood Park. The walk itself will take about 2-3 hours to complete and with 30,000 walkers expected to attend, along with several celebrities and elected officials it will surely be an amazing experience of love and support as we unite in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
As stated in a press release earlier this year:
AIDS Walk Los Angeles is one of the biggest, most diverse, and highly anticipated annual events in Los Angeles. Last year, a passionate crowd of 30,000 walkers and 2,500 volunteers raised more than $3.15 million for HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and advocacy programs. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $66 million to fight the disease in Los Angeles County, and the AIDS Walk movement has raised more than a half-billion nationwide.
