2010 Thriller-A-Thon Saturday September 18th 1:00pm – 5:00pm @ The Graff Lab
Attention Thrill the World Los Angeles (TTWLA) Zombies and Dance Enthusiasts!
TTWLA is proud to announce our first annual Thriller-a-Thon to help raise money for our big Thrill Day event on October 23, 2010. Learn, perfect and perform the dance while raising funds for the big day. This fundraiser event is open to everyone and is sure to be a BLAST. We hope you will join us as a dancer or a sponsor!
This “Dance-a-Thon” is a continuous, 4-hour event that will take place starting @1PM on Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at The Graff Lab on 1038 W. Venice Blvd. L.A., CA 90015. There will be contests and prizes for the longest-lasting dancer, highest fundraiser, funniest costume, and other “spirit” driven prizes and contests throughout the event. So, prepare to go full out and have lots of fun!
So, how do we raise funds?? – Get sponsors!!
Every participant needs to utilize the Thriller-A-Thon Donations/Pledge form. Each sponsor has the choice to either donate a set amount of money or pledge an amount per Thriller performance danced. For example, your classmate or coworker could pledge $1.00 for every dance danced. If you dance six times, he or she pays you $6.00 … it’s that simple! There are no limits to the number of sponsors – so get out there, tell all your friends and family about Thrill Day, and have them sponsor you!

PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES
● Every participant must register by emailing: TTWLAFundraiser@gmail.com.
● Every participant needs to have a completed Donations/Pledge Form to participate and help raise funds for TTWLA! A minimum $20 donation is strongly recommended to participate.
● All dancers must sign and turn in a TTWLA Service Agreement prior to participating.
● Participants under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian sign the Service Agreement and Pledge Forms.
● Participants must learn and perform the Thriller dance as taught and demonstrated by Thrill the World Los Angeles. For practice times and instructional dance videos, please visit the TTWLA website. We will also teach the dance throughout the Thriller-A-Thon event.
● Participants must complete the entire six minute version of Thriller to receive full credit for each performance.
● Participants do not have to stay for the entire event and are welcome to come in/out of the event as needed.
● Participants are strongly encouraged to dance full out in the craziest, most exciting costumes imaginable. However, please do not wear anything obscene, offensive, or sexually explicit.
Notes: Each performance/dance does not need to be perfect. But at the judges’ discretion, a performance may not be counted if the performance is done inappropriately. There will be breaks provided throughout the event. Further information will be provided to all registered participants.
We recommend that each performer/dancer bring a snack (chips, cookies, veggies, etc.) or drink to share. Note: We also plan to sell some goodies as an additional fundraiser. If we would like to donate goods for the sale, please let us know.

Knott’s Scary Farm
For the first time Thrill the World Los Angeles is partnering with Knott’s Scary Farm Haunt (http://haunt.knotts.com/) and we are truly exited about this event .
- 5:00 PM – THRILLER PERFORMANCE. We will be performing the 6 minute version of thriller at the Calico Square, inside Knott’s. The area will be blocked off for us and for the media.
- 5:30 PM – Knott’s Berry Farm closes
- 7:00 PM – 2:00 AM – Knott’s Scary Farm Haunt. If you are preforming, please bring regular clothes to change into after performance. Knott’s does not allow their guest to ware costumes.
