Quincy Jones wrote of his collaboration with Michael Jackson in the Los Angeles Times today. It ends with:
There will be a lot written about what came next in Michael’s life, but for me all of that is just noise. I promise you in 50, 75, 100 years, what will be remembered is the music. It’s no accident that almost three decades later, no matter where I go in the world, in every club and karaoke bar, like clockwork, you hear “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “Wanna Be Starting Something,” “Rock With You” and “Thriller.”
In every language on the planet, from prison yards in the Philippines to Thrilltheworld.com, that will be the beautiful, grand legacy of Michael Jackson.
We are proud to be a part of Michael’s legacy.
And also TONIGHT (Tuesday, June 30), Atomic Ballroom, HQ of Thrill the World Orange County, is hosting a Thriller dance tribute at 10 p.m. Head on down!

[Admin posting for Mahdroo]
The King has died today.
Ines, the international organizer of the event has said that now, this year’s dance will be in tribute. I am proud that we will carry on the memory of Michael Jackson that we all grew up with.
I think this year we should all go as [young] Michael Jackson! 100 red suit with black V dancers! Organizing will begin in August, and the first practices will be in September.
Join our Facebook event or myspace page for further updates. (See side bar).
